In seventh grade, students analyze and draw inferences from data collected via random sampling. From representative samples, students make generalizations about populations. Students learn the concept of probability. Students explore probabilities of chance scenarios, which they both approximate experimentally and compute using models such as lists, tables and tree diagrams.
